Growing online advertising complexity requires better efficiency, SEMPAD

Peter Elmhirst, Founder of SEMPAD, talks about how his almost 10 years of online advertising experience has culminated in what he believes is the most economically efficient solution for SMBs.

Can you tell us a little bit about your background?

I have just under a decade of experience managing online advertising and have personally managed well over $10 million dollars in ad spend across a variety of industries. Along with founding the online ad tool SEMPAD, I also own and operate an online advertising agency in Toronto called The Ad Managers Inc.

What is SEMPAD’s goal with respect to its use as a social technology?

We’ve recently seen the convergence of social media and the world of paid advertising. It’s our goal to help people who manage those social ads, do so more efficiently. Along with Google and Bing, SEMPAD integrates with Facebook ads and brings simplicity to the way in which ad managers can oversee those Facebook campaigns and report on them to clients.

Although SEMPAD only launched a short time ago, what has been the feedback?

It’s very fortunate that I am not only the Founder of SEMPAD, but also its first client as the owner of The Ad Managers Inc. The feedback from my employees and my own personal experience using the software has been invaluable in guiding SEMPAD’s development. Client feedback has been limited as we just recently officially launched, however many people have expressed relief that there’s finally an affordable alternative to our competitors.

Does SEMPAD fit into an overall trend that needs disruption?

SEMPAD fits within the evolving trend of agency managed online advertising. These days businesses of all size and industry are becoming more reliant on online ads to drive revenue, but the growing complexity of ads means they require specialists which most businesses cannot employ. Small to Medium sized agencies are stepping up to fill the gap and it’s those agencies that SEMPAD is ideally suited to save time, money and improve the quality of the ad management services they offer.

What sets you apart from your competitors and what is the overall goal of your company with regards to your clients?

There are many elements of the tools within SEMPAD that set it apart, but from an overall perspective it’s SEMPAD’s price and focus on efficiency that truly stand alone.

Unlike many competitors, SEMPAD doesn’t require you to tweak dozens of settings and spend days setting it up. We’ve been relentless about making the platform as efficient as possible so that ad managers can get work done faster by skimming color coded KPI’s to ensure accounts are on track, or using our bid optimization algorithms for example.

The overall goal with regards to our clients is to save them as much time as possible with their ad management tasks, allowing them to take on more clients while providing a better service. There are many ad management tasks which are repetitive and mundane. We put the power of Google Cloud Servers to work crunching data behind the scenes to handle many of those tasks. This saves agencies an immense amount of time on a daily basis.
