Top IT companies ranked worldwide: How to win the offshore gamble

International IT outsourcing is becoming a great way for small businesses to afford complex tech solutions, but still problems persist. The quality of IT products is difficult to gauge, particularly when talking about offshore teams in the international market. As outsourcing overseas is often the cheapest option, the incentive is high to look for options abroad, but much like in Vegas, the reduced costs reflect the increased risks.

New IT sourcing companies spring up every day. Because of this, it can be difficult to know which companies will deliver quality results and so, businesses are often unsure of who to trust. Often times, if something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Beyond price, offshore teams’ problems can be exasperated due to collaborators working in different time zones. If businesses have a project that is very time-sensitive, it can be hard to trust that the outsourcers will get it completed on time. There can also be problems with cultural differences and knowledge transfer that can negatively affect the quality of the desired end product.

So what’s the solution to this? It’s simple. Get company references and only work with the best and most valuable outsourcing companies out there.

Clutch, a Washington DC based research firm focused on the technology, marketing, and digital industries, recently released a report identifying the best outsourcing platforms.

Joshua Margolin- Principal Analyst at Clutch

Regarding the report, Clutch’s Principal Analyst, Joshua Margolin said “Outsourcing has historically been a risky business, or at least that’s been the prevailing mentality for a lot of buyers,” said Joshua Margolin, Principal Analyst at Clutch. “The important thing to remember is that reliable outsourcing partners do exist, but they can be challenging to find. This report aims to address that.”

Clutch analyzed several different variables to determine who really is the best. This included references, client reviews, industry experience, and market presence and followed this up with in-depth interviews with both past and present clients.

Companies were also graded on their ability to consistently produce work that adhered to the client expectations.

So here are the top ten outsourcing firms highlighted in the report, from around the world.
