Want to become a playable character in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception?

Nathan Drake

Ever dreamed of becoming a playable character in a massively popular video game? Sony is offering one lucky competition entrant the chance to be part of Uncharted history by creating their own Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in-game character in a Los Angeles game studio.

Sony Ireland is launching a Facebook competition, The Uncharted Audition, this Friday that will see entrants complete three challenges. Firstly, entrants must devise a name like Nathan Drake, Uncharted 3’s protagonist; secondly, they must submit an action video of themselves proving they have the agility to move like Nathan Drake; and lastly, they must record a voiceover to a muted game scene, “testing their creativity and voice acting skills”.

10 finalists will be chosen from across Europe, including one from Ireland, who will then compete at a live event in Los Angeles. The eventual winner will win a trip to the Naughty Dog studios, the game’s developer, where they’ll get to experience behind-the-scenes of motion capture and create their very own character.

Uncharted 3 was released in November 2011 by Sony Computer Entertainment and the character addition will be made available by game update. Naughty Dog are also developing the hugely anticipated game The Last of Us.
