Dot Esports Expands Its In-Depth Coverage Of Competitive Gaming To Spanish-Speaking Fans

Dot Esports, a leading online publication and community page covering esports and competitive gaming, today announces the launch of Dot Esports Español. Following upon the success of Dot Esports Brasil, Dot Esports Español will bring the best esports coverage online to Spanish-speaking esports fans around the globe.

The all-in-one competitive gaming platform offers members in-depth coverage of esports personalities, breaking news, events, and stories about the games – as well as the people playing them. Dot Esports is home to some of the industry’s most popular games, including League of Legends, which, according to most recent figures, has an active player base of over 80 million monthly players. That’s about 27 million players every day.

Dot Esports has teamed up with the talented, Spanish team formerly known as PicknBan, led by site editor Miguel Casquero, to create Dot Esports Español. The Spanish-language platform features a daily mix of translated and original content, including localized news from Spain and Latin American countries.

Kevin Morris

“We are excited to provide our unique esports insight to an entirely new audience. We welcome any and all feedback as we develop this new arm of the publication,” said Kevin Morris, Editor In Chief at Dot Esports, and VP of Content at its parent company, GAMURS.

Over the last two years the esports industry has rapidly been gaining steam, cementing itself as one of the largest networks in the U.S. However, competitive gaming is attracting fans, players and investors from all over the world. The Spanish-speaking world in particular is home to a passionate population of game developers, fans and players, and is quickly becoming a “factory for new games”. Last year, Mexico alone had an estimated 5.1 million esports fans.

“With over 600 million people, and a growing level of online connectivity, Latin America is set to become a huge market for esports,” added Morris.
